Jewelry Cleaning and Care

To clean your Sterling Silver jewelry, fill a bowl with a mild soap and lukewarm water solution. Let your jewelry rest there for about a minute and gently scrub your jewelry with your fingers or a soft cloth. For a better cleaning, you can use a soft toothbrush but make sure you do not apply too much pressure and always be gentle. Then rinse your jewelry well under lukewarm running water. You can use a soft micro-fiber cloth to remove the water. You may then leave it to dry for a while until it dries completely. Do not leave it to air dry without patting with a soft cloth as water droplets may leave stains on the metal and gemstone of the jewelry.

You should be extra careful with the Sterling Silver jewelry having oxidized (blackened) finish as they have been purposely darkened. Harsh cleaning may cause the oxidized surface to lose its darkness and go back to the original shiny silver color. Prefer cleaning with a dry soft micro-fiber cloth and use water solution when it's necessary. Also do not use silver polish if you wish to protect oxidized surface.

We also recommend gently wiping the jewelry with a soft micro-fiber cloth regularly to keep it clean. You can try using jewelry cleaning wipes to shine your jewelry.

You can wash your hands while you have your Sterling Silver ring on but the best thing to do is taking it off if it's possible. Make sure you use lukewarm water and a soft soap, and do not forget to dry your ring too. Though we do not recommend it, you can wear your Sterling Silver jewelry in shower. However, keep in your mind that shower gels, hot water and steam may harm your jewelry. To sum up, the best thing to do is using water and soap only when it's necessary.

You should store your Sterling Silver jewelry individually so they will not scratch and harm each other. While working with household chemicals or applying cosmetics (hand cream, body lotion, perfume etc.), we recommend you to remove your jewelry as chemicals may harm both silver and gemstones. Also avoid exposing your Sterling Silver jewelry into direct sunlight for long periods of time as some gemstones may fade and lose their color. Of course that does not mean you have to cover your jewelry when you wear them on sunny days, just make sure you do not leave them under sunlight for days.

Let your jewelry shine bright like you! If you have questions please feel free to ask, we are always here!
